The Brisbane Bullets will unveil new import Lamar Patterson to their home crowd when they host the New Zealand Breakers on Sunday.
Patterson played just his second game for the Bullets on Friday night, in a three-point loss to the Perth Wildcats at RAC Arena.
He was eased in to the game, but played significantly more time than the eight minutes he contributed in Brisbane's win in Adelaide in Round 4.
Against the Wildcats, in 20 minutes on court, Patterson finished with an equal team-high 13 points, at 50 per cent, plus he pulled down four rebounds and had four assists.
And it was almost enough to get his new side over the line; a Bryce Cotton buzzer-beater stopping the game from going in to overtime.
But the loss takes nothing away from Brisbane's recent form, which has included a win over Perth in Round 3 and two wins against the Adelaide 36ers in Round 4.
Coach Andrej Lemanis said his side has found a nice rhythm.
"We've been growing over the course of these first eight games and we've found a nice rhythm and belief in us," he said.
"We've had disruptions as well; we've had disruptions with injuries.
"Lamar is here now for his second game; he's been here a week.
"So I thought his integration started to show tonight. I'm really comfortable with who we are as a team; the way we play together."
Brisbane look to maintain a winning percentage at home when they play the Breakers on Sunday.
After a disappointing 18-point loss to Cairns in Round 1, they have claimed impressive scalps in Perth and the 36ers in front of their members and supporters.
"We have to put this one behind us. We play on Sunday at home. We can't dwell on this one at all," he said.
"There is a lot of hurt in that locker room and I think that hurt will drive us to come out and play well in front of our home crowd on Sunday."
Brisbane will also take confidence from their Round 1 win over the Breakers on the road, when they bounced back from slow start to win by 13 points.
Cam Gliddon, who scored only nine against Perth on Friday, will look to use the game to quickly re-find his touch. He dropped 29 points that day against New Zealand.
