An armed robber and two domestic violence perpetrators are among the Tasmanian criminals released early from prison in a parole bungle, but the state government is refusing to reveal the crimes of others allowed to prematurely walk free.
The state's Labor opposition claims the community has a right to know the rap sheets of six men who have been let out early from Hobart's Risdon Prison since July 2015.
But Attorney-General Vanessa Goodwin said all were taken back into custody before they could commit further offences, and their crimes will not be revealed.
"I'm not going to provide specific details about offenders who've been released - the important point to be made is that we've committed to undertake a full review of this which will be concluded by the end of September," she said.
A victim of family violence has spoken out about the risk she faced after the perpetrator in her case was released early.

"I have spoken to the victim in question, I've apologised in person for what occurred," Dr Goodwin said.
Premier Will Hodgman described the case as sad and tragic.
An audit will be completed by KPMG looking at what Dr Goodwin described as unacceptable administrative errors, including the case of one prisoner who was released several weeks later than he should have been.
"I will also direct that the (Tasmanian Prison Service) immediately task staff to review all release dates and calculations," she said, adding that all releases must now be authorised by senior staff.
The attorney-general noted that cases of incorrect release dates from Risdon Prison stretch back to 2010 under the previous Labor government.
