South Sydney forward Sam Burgess has been cleared of a serious shoulder injury, but his NRL teammate Bryson Goodwin will miss up to two months with a broken arm.

Burgess suffered the injury in the Rabbitohs' loss to Wests Tigers on Friday night.

However the Rabbitohs say scans have cleared the dual international of structural damage and he will likely line-up against Parramatta at ANZ Stadium on Friday in the NRL's 15th round.

The news is not as good for Goodwin, who didn't finish the match against the Tigers.

Scans have since confirmed Goodwin suffered a broken arm and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
