The world is watching Burma's political and financial development, with many wondering whether the country could be Asia's next tiger economy.

Since President Thein Sein took office last year, the nation has transformed from an insulated environment to one of investment, with IHS Global Insight predicting its gross domestic product will triple between 2011 and 2025.

World leaders, including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon and US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton have praised Burma's political reforms in recent months.
