A former Burmese refugee has told SBS that he's ready to face justice after confessing to the murder of dozens of political dissidents in Burma.
Htoo Htoo Han came to Australia as a refugee in 1996 and has since been involved in campaigns aimed at highlighting human rights abuses in Burma.
He says he was a hit man for the country's military junta, working as an undercover agent among the student opposition movement.
"At the time I was so young to decide right and wrong. The important thing was promotion and to obey the orders. That's all I thought," he told SBS.
Now an artist and refugee activist, he is been able to provide the names and details of 24 people he claims to have killed.
