A French Muslim woman arrested on the first day of the burqa ban walked out of a police station without having to pay a fine, The Times reports.
The 31-year-old single mother who gave her name as "Hind" was allowed to walk away without having to pay a fine, amid police uncertainty over how to enforce a law that makes it an offence to cover your face in public.
