Bus smashes into Sydney building wall

A bus has crashed into the wall of a building at Chatswood train station injuring five people in Sydney's lower north shore.

Five people are injured after a bus crashed into a wall near a busy train station during the morning peak hour on Sydney's lower north shore.

Firefighters and specialist crews are working to stabilise the building at the transport hub after the bus crashed into the wall near Chatswood train station on the just after 7am on Monday.

A woman who was trapped has been released and has leg injuries, NSW Fire and Rescue told AAP.

Six people were treated by paramedics at the scene and five have been taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are speaking to the female bus driver.
