Bushfire stops trains in Melbourne

A small bushfire on the outskirts of Melbourne has suspended train services with 12 fire trucks at the scene to quell the blaze.

A small bushfire has suspended train services in Melbourne's north.

Smoke haze from a grassfire in Hexham Court in Craigieburn has halted train services between Craigieburn and Broadmeadows.

The fire is under five hectares and isn't yet under control, a Country Fire Authority spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

Metro Trains says replacement buses have been ordered.
