An out-of-control and unpredictable bushfire that threatened lives and homes in the Perth Hills has been brought under control.
The watch and act alert that was issued for parts of Bellevue and Helena Valley earlier on Friday, but now has been downgraded to advice.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services says although the fire threat has eased there is a lot of smoke in the area.
The DFES says although there is no immediate danger locals need to keep up to date in case the situation changes.
Earlier on Friday, a bushfire in the eastern part of Lockridge, which destroyed about eight hectares of scrub, was extinguished and DFES gave the all clear.
