Business travelling well in Webjet update

Online travel booking company Webjet says it is continuing to gain market share, with an update on Friday giving its shares a healthy lift.

Shares in Webjet have risen following the online travel company's announcement of strong growth in bookings and market share.

Webjet managing director John Guscic says he expects growth of about 28 per cent in total transaction value to continue across the retail and wholesale businesses in the second half of 2015/16, ahead of the full-year results in August.

Webjet shares were up 41 cents, or seven per cent, to $6.28 at 1105 AEST.
