Carlton and Greater Western Sydney look set to be key players in what is shaping as the busiest-ever AFL trade period.
The action gets underway at 0930 (AEDT) on Monday, when officials from the 18 clubs converge for meetings at Etihad Stadium.
Carlton's new list manager Stephen Silvagni has already flagged his interest in several Giants, including key position player Adam Tomlinson, who was starved of senior opportunities in 2015.

The Giants are set to play hardball with want-away key position player Cam McCarthy, who is being chased hard by Fremantle.
McCarthy wants to return to his home state of WA, despite signing a contract extension with the Giants earlier this year.

The 32-year-old could well be of interest to Gold Coast and GWS as well as clubs who fancy they are in the premiership window.
The biggest name on the move is Patrick Dangerfield.
The 25-year-old is a restricted free agent, but Adelaide have threatened to match any offer made by Geelong, meaning the Cats may well have to trade for the powerhouse midfielder.
The Cats' first-round draft pick of No.9 will probably have to come into play for them to secure Dangerfield.
