CA announce Governor-General XI's game

The Indian women's team will face a Governor-General XI later this month, with Cricket Australia hoping to make the concept a permanent fixture.

Cricket Australia have announced an annual Governor-General XI's match for touring women's sides.

Sydney's Drummoyne Oval will host the inaugural fixture on January 22 between India and a side made up of Australia's experienced and up-and-coming players.

Governor-General Peter Cosgrove and CA boss James Sutherland made the announcement at the SCG on Monday.
