CA dismissal after Tas govt conversations

Angela Williamson is suing Cricket Australia after they sacked her for criticising the Tasmanian government's abortion policy.

Cricket Australia staffer Angela Williamson was sacked after discussions between the sporting body and Tasmania's premier and health minister, court documents allege.

She was dismissed on June 29 by CA for criticising the Tasmanian government on social media over a lack of access to abortion services in the state.

Ms Williamson is suing CA in the Federal Court, with document's lodged on Thursday claiming she was told by the boss of Cricket Tasmania in a meeting 10 days before her dismissal that the premier and health minister were "disappointed" with her behaviour.
