Caitlin Jenner settles crash lawsuit

A lawsuit against Caitlyn Jenner relating to a fatal crash on California's Pacific Coast Highway has been settled, court papers reveal.

A woman injured in a fatal crash involving Caitlyn Jenner has settled her lawsuit against the Olympic gold medallist, court papers show.

Jessica Steindorff had sought unspecified damages against Jenner in the February 7 crash that killed one woman and injured several others along California's Malibu coast.

One of Jenner's lawyers stated in court papers filed on December 15 in Los Angeles County Superior Court that the suit had been settled and dismissed. No terms of the settlement were mentioned.

Jenner, 66, was hauling an off-road vehicle behind a Cadillac Escalade when she steered to avoid cars slowing for a traffic light on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Jenner rear-ended two cars - a Lexus driven by Kim Howe and a Prius driven by Steindorff. Howe, 69, was killed when her car was pushed into the path of an oncoming Hummer.

Sheriff's investigators determined Jenner was travelling at an unsafe speed for traffic conditions.

Prosecutors declined to file a vehicular manslaughter charge against Jenner, who won a 1976 Olympic gold medal in decathlon as Bruce Jenner before recently transitioning to become a transgender woman.

Howe's stepchildren are suing Jenner for wrongful death and a family travelling in the Hummer also sued for damages.

Philip Boesch jnr, one of Jenner's lawyers, said in an email the Steindorff case had been dismissed, but he would not comment further.

A lawyer for Steindorff did not immediately return calls or a message seeking comment.
