The United Nations says millions of dollars in extra humanitarian aid is needed in South Sudan to prevent food security from becoming an even bigger problem.
The UN's Food and Agricultural Organisation says food security was already a concern in the country but the escalating violence has worsened the situation.
The FAO says $166 million is required immediately to assist thousands of people who have fled their homes, and are now at risk of malnutrition and disease.
The agency's representative in South Sudan, Sue Lautze, told Hannah Sinclair about the main humanitarian needs.
