Cameron conservative on Giants' outlook

After two solid successive wins the GWS Giants are looking strong, but coach Leon Cameron is aware of the AFL side's vulnerabilities.

Coach Leon Cameron says two solid victories for the GWS Giants haven't taken the sting out of their upset round-one loss to the Adelaide Crows.

In Hobart on Saturday the Giants accounted for North Melbourne with a 42-point margin, and while emerging midfielder Josh Kelly had a pearler, the side's injury toll included Ryan Griffen (ankle) and captain Phil Davis (shoulder).

It means two wins on the trot for the Giants after last week's 102-point drubbing of the Gold Coast Suns.

But Cameron isn't getting too confident, clearly still mindful of the side's opening-round 56-point loss at Adelaide Oval.

"I don't think you ever get things back on track," the coach said after the game at Bellerive Oval.

"We're really pleased with the win, we really rate the Kangaroos.

"But in seven days time we come up against a really good side in Port Adelaide and we've got to address some of the injuries we've had ... this competition is so hard to back up each week."

Cameron rated Davis's injury, caused by a clash with Roos' captain Jack Ziebell as less concerning than Griffen's "nasty" predicament.
