Canberra businessman Rohan Arnold has been extradited from Serbia over his alleged involvement in a $500 million international cocaine-smuggling ring.

Australian Federal Police on Wednesday released footage of the 43-year-old saleyards director and steel importer being led through Sydney airport by detectives, about a month after a Serbian court ruled he could be returned home.

Arnold was arrested at gunpoint in January, along with three other Australians, at a five-star hotel in the Serbian capital Belgrade over a syndicate that allegedly tried to bring more than a tonne of cocaine into Sydney via China last year.
