A car has exploded in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi killing four people and wounding at least 14, security and medical officials say.

They said the blast occurred late on Saturday night.

Benghazi has seen regular attacks and bombings in recent months as forces loyal to eastern commander Khalifa Haftar push to take full control of the city after a two year campaign against Islamists and other opponents.
