A number of families have reportedly been evacuated from their homes in Northern Ireland, after reports of an explosion near an Army base at Holywood, County Down.
Authorities are at the scene.
There are no reports of any injuries so far.
It's been reported locals heard a large bang just after midnight.
The blast is believed to have coincided with the precise moment that policing and justice powers devolved from Westminster to Stormont.
"A device has exploded in a vehicle at the rear of Palace Barracks in Holywood," a police spokeswoman said. The barracks is a former British army complex just outside Belfast which now houses MI5.
"The explosion occurred at approximately 12:24 am (2324 GMT Sunday) this morning. There are no reports of any serious injuries at this stage," she said.
More to come.
