Medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres says the Central African Republic is facing a humanitarian catastrophe with the latest outbreak of violence.
MSF says inter-religious and inter-ethnic violence, as well as retaliation against occupying military forces, are driving the latest clashes.
Australian executive director Paul McPhun says more than 400,000 people have been displaced.
Mr McPhun told Georgie Moore the lack of access to clean water, sanitation and food is an emerging disaster.
