No one was injured, with the holiday-makers evacuated late on Monday night.
Locals say the area has experienced a number of significant falls in recent years.
“We've seen at least three or four rock falls within this half mile coastline, often caused by combination of heavy rain and earlier frost within the last year,” Porthkerry Park Ranger Rob Pritchard told the BBC.
