The 32-year-old is a mining lawyer for Rio Tinto subsidiary SouthGobi Resources.

Senator Carr ssays Ms Armstrong has daily consular access, and he's raised her case with Mongolia's foreign minister.
He says the government will provide her with more help if required but it's limited in what it can do.
