Casualty count mounts for Eddie Jones

Maro Itoje is the latest England star to be injured and ruled out of this season's Tests against South Africa, Fiji, Argentina and Australia at Twickenham.

ENGLAND'S INJURY WOES - 10 STARS WHO WILL MISS AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA, FIJI, ARGENTINA AND AUSTRALIA AT TWICKENHAM:

Maro Itoje (Saracens)

Second-row giant Itoje broke his hand playing for Saracens against European Champions Cup opponents the Scarlets on Saturday. He requires surgery and will be sidelined for six weeks.

James Haskell, (Wasps)

The 70 times-capped Wasps flanker limped off during England's second Test win against Australia in June. He has undergone foot surgery and not played since. Expected to play again probably in early January.

Jack Clifford (Harlequins)

The promising Harlequins back-row forward suffered ankle damage while on Aviva Premiership duty for his club in September. Should be back in early to mid-December.

Sam Jones (Wasps)

Tipped as a possible openside flanker replacement for Haskell in November, he broke his right leg during a judo session at England's Brighton training camp earlier this month. His anticipated absence is five months.

Mike Williams (Leicester)

Another back-row contender, Tigers forward Williams broke his arm during a pre-match tackle drill before Leicester played Worcester two weeks ago. Expected to be sidelined until mid to late December.

Anthony Watson (Bath)

England's world-class wing suffered a fractured jaw during training with the national squad in Brighton. An early to mid-December return has been touted.

George Kruis (Saracens)

Saracens lock Kruis, an England ever-present in 2016, recently underwent ankle surgery, with his club stating that he will be sidelined "for a number of weeks".

Jack Nowell (Exeter)

Chiefs wing Nowell returned from England's Brighton training camp with a torn thigh muscle. No exact time has been given for a return to action, but not likely to be soon.

Manu Tuilagi (groin)

The injury-plagued Leicester centre has not featured since Tigers' win at Gloucester on this season's opening Premiership weekend in September. Sidelined by further groin trouble, he is expected back some time in November.

Luke Cowan-Dickie (Exeter)

The Exeter hooker was helped off during Chiefs' European Champions Cup home defeat against Clermont Auvergne eight days ago, suffering ligament damage. No timescale given for return, but likely to be a number of weeks.
