Cate Blanchett and more than 150 other Oscar nominees have sat down for lunch and a few drinks in Beverly Hills.
The annual Oscar Nominees Luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel is one of the traditional stops for nominees on their way to next month's Academy Awards ceremony.
Blanchett is the red hot favourite to win the best actress Oscar for her performance in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine.
It is the sixth nomination of the Australian's career.
"Is it? That's great," Blanchett said, joking that she had lost count.

Other attendees were lead actor and actress nominees Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Sandra Bullock, Bruce Dern, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey and Meryl Streep and supporting actor nominees Bradley Cooper, Jonah Hill, Jared Leto, Lupita Nyong'o, Julia Roberts and June Squibb.
Blanchett has only won one Oscar, a supporting statuette in 2005 for playing Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator.
Australia is well represented at this year's Academy Awards ceremony, with Catherine Martin scoring a double nomination for costume and production design for The Great Gatsby.
Martin's Australian production design collaborator on The Great Gatsby, set decorator Beverley Dunn, was also nominated.
Martin's biggest challenger for the costume design Oscar is fellow Aussie Michael Wilkinson for his creations on the 1970s crime comedy, American Hustle. Visual effects wizard Dave Clayton was nominated for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The Academy Awards will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on March 2.
