Commonwealth Bank of Australia chief executive Ralph Norris saw his total pay package balloon by 75 per cent last financial year to a whopping $16.2m as the bank's net profit grew by 20 per cent to $5.66bn.
Long-term incentive payments mainly accounted for the significant rise with $9.2m in share payments almost triple the amount awarded to him in the previous year.
Incentive payments account for 57 per cent of Mr Norris' total remuneration and include awards for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 financial years.
