The grieving family and friends of a Sydney man left to bleed out after a violent street confrontation caught on CCTV, say he has been stolen from them.

Luke Browning was found with serious injuries outside a home in St Clair in the city's west just after midday on Tuesday.

Police allege he was involved in a fight not long before and the melee led to his death.

Wearing a black eye and bruised face, Robert Jack Bechalany appeared in Waverley Local Court on Wednesday charged with Mr Browning's murder.

The 31-year-old was arrested by police at Sydney Airport.

The court was also told detectives had CCTV footage capturing the fight that allegedly left Mr Browning dead.

"The prosecution are alleging that my client has murdered someone and it is captured on footage," Bechalany's lawyer Zemarai Khatiz said outside.

"I have requested, if that is the case, for the prosecution to provide to the court the footage so it can be played in the bail application."

The case was adjourned to Thursday, where Bechalany is expected to make a bail application in Penrith Local Court.

Mr Khatiz said his client would be pleading not guilty.

As news of Mr Browning's death filtered through to relatives and friends, some took to social media to pay tribute.

"R.I.P Luke browning, ur (sic) were stolen from ur friends and family," Kc Steedden wrote.

Jasmine Weeks expressed her disbelief.

"I love you, please come home," she wrote.

"Nan's worried. It's not real.

"How could this happen."
