Ten potential witnesses to a deadly shooting at Sydney's Central Station a month ago are being asked to come forward.

NSW Police have released photos of 10 people they want to talk to about the incident on the evening of July 26, when 30-year-old Danukul Mokmool was shot dead after he grabbed an elderly florist and threatened him.

Police shot Mokmool after a short confrontation during which he refused to put down a pair of scissors.

Graphic video shared on social media shows Mokmool dropping to the floor after four shots ring out.

Detectives on Tuesday released CCTV images of 10 people who might have witnessed the incident but have not yet spoken to police.

The five men and five women can be seen in the immediate vicinity of the station before or at the time of the fatal shooting and may have filmed the incident, police say.

Anyone who recognises someone in the footage is urged to contact investigators.
