CCTV released in Vic nurse hit-run hunt

Victoria Police have released CCTV footage of a ute wanted over the hit-and-run of a nurse in Melbourne's west earlier in January.

CCTV footage of a Ford XR ute has been released as police continue to hunt for the driver who hit a Melbourne nurse as she was crossing the road and kept driving.

Shanne Doktor-Naron, 29, was walking to her car after her shift at Sunshine Hospital about 9.50pm on January 8 when a dark-coloured ute drove through the crossing and hit her.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital for treatment.

On Friday Victoria Police released CCTV footage of the dark grey vehicle in the hope someone can identify it.
