Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is en route to Perth ahead of announcing the winning destination for an Australian Ministry of Food pop-up kitchen.
Oliver launched the nation-wide search last month, urging Australians to nominate their home town or community to host a pop-up kitchen for 12 months, and is expected to announce the winner in Sydney on Sunday.
But first, he'll visit Perth, where his Jamie's Italian restaurant opened to rave reviews and long queues a year ago.
The restaurant, which usually opens at 11am (WST), will be closed to the public until 12.30pm (WST) while Oliver meets staff.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Food confirmed he would be in the West Australian capital on Friday before revealing the winning location in Sydney.
