Veteran Melbourne centre Will Chambers has seen many wingers come and go but says newly re-signed speedsters Suliasi Vunivalu and Josh Addo-Carr are something special.

The Storm are set to announce they have extended the contracts of the young match-winning duo, who have been key to the club's charge to the minor premiership.

The pair scored five tries between them in last round's 11-try romp over South Sydney, with back-to-back NRL leading tryscorer titles in sight for Vunivalu - a stunning feat in his two seasons in first grade.

He needs one four-pointer in Saturday night's final round clash with Canberra at AAMI Park to move ahead of injured Rabbitohs fullback Alex Johnston.

Addo-Carr (19) currently sits three tries behind Vunivalu and Johnston with Canberra's Jordan Rapana on 20.

"They're special," Chambers said.

"They know how to find the tryline and it's pretty special to have them out there as they turn nothing into something.

"They're good footy players and good kids who are humble who work really hard."

Chambers is impressed by 21-year-old's Vunivalu's athleticism and the speed of 22-year-old Addo-Carr, who joined Melbourne this season from the Wests Tigers.

"Joshy's just genuine pace and Suli just finds the tryline for fun," he said.

"They also do the hard stuff coming out of the red zone and they get rewarded with tries on the end of good moves."
