A man with a Charlie Chaplin moustache is being sought after drugs and money were stolen from a Sydney pharmacy.

Police say a man went into a pharmacy on the Princes Highway in Rockdale on October 11 with a plastic bag, claiming to be armed with a weapon.

He stole drugs and money before running into King St mall.

CCTV footage captured nearby shows a chubby Caucasian man in his mid to late 30s.

Police say he sported a small "Charlie Chaplin-style" moustache.

He was also wearing a dark blue hat with white writing on it and dark sunglasses.
