Charges made over triple stabbings in Qld

A man's been charged with attempted murder after a mother and her two children were stabbed during an attack in a home in Brisbane.

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a mother and two children were stabbed multiple times in a Brisbane home.

Police say they were called to a home on D'Arcy Rd, Carina, about 6.30am (AEST) on Sunday after reports of a disturbance.

When officers arrived they found the woman, 39, and two children, a boy and a girl, with multiple stab wounds.

The woman was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the children were taken to the Mater Hospital, all in a serious condition.

A 41-year-old man, understood to be a relative of the victims, was arrested at the scene.

He's been charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm and one count of intending to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man is due to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday.
