Children not sacred in Syria conflict

Since the Syrian uprising began ten months ago, the outside world has been shocked at the allegations of cruelty levelled at the government of Bashar al-Assad.

Several months into the conflict, reports emerged of brutal treatment of alleged child protesters at the hands of security forces.

Ten months on, the BBC's Fergal Keane travelled to neighbouring Lebanon and Jordan, where many children have fled with their families. They shared some of their stories.
