The curious primate initially ignored the drone flying past its habitat at Royal Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands. But when the drone became too close for comfort, the chimp hit it with a nearby branch before dismantling the electronic device.

The footage was released on YouTube by the zoo, and shows the chimp playing and inspecting the drone before walking off.

The monkeys were being filmed for the second series of a Dutch television program called Burgers’ Zoo Natuurlijk.
