An actor described as "the Hugh Jackman of China" is to apply for bail on charges of sexually assaulting a woman at a luxury Sydney hotel three months ago.
Yunxiang Gao, 35, is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault in company of a woman at the Shangri La hotel early in the morning on March 27.
In the NSW Supreme Court on Thursday, his lawyer John Korn referred to footage from a karaoke bar which he said shows "amorous" contact between Gao's co-accused, Jing Wang, and the complainant.
Justice Lucy McCallum told the packed courtroom, she expected to deal with the bail application later on Thursday after ruling on other cases.
