Circus performers will rally outside ACT Liberal senator Zed Seselja's office to protest his support for the fossil fuel industry and what they say is government inaction on climate change.

Canberra grandmother and circus participant Annie Close says it's a complete joke the senator's party accepts political donations from coal and gas companies.

The protest will feature clowns, a ringmaster and performers dressed as coal barons.
