City Chic fashion brand heads to Myer

Plus-size women's fashion brand City Chic will soon be stocked at 30 Myer department stores.

Specialty Fashion has secured an agreement from Myer to stock its City Chic women's clothing in 30 department stores.

The plus-size women's range will debut at an initial 14 Myer stores this week following its launch on Tuesday.

Specialty Fashion chief executive Gary Perlstein says the Myer partnership is a significant growth strategy for the group.

Specialty Fashion, which also owns Katies and Millers, has been pushing City Chic internationally in recent months and secured a presence in 100 Macy's stores in the US.

This is on top of the 60 Nordstrom stores in which it already available.

Three new City Chic stores have also opened in the United Arab Emirates, while the brand is being trialled at high street fashion retailer Evans in the UK.
