The Logan community south of Brisbane is wasting no time in creating an action plan for its youth in the wake of a community dispute there earlier this month.
A response taskforce was formed by Murri elders who met with NRL ambassador, Petero Civinoceva and the president of the Queensland ethnic council to review and create positive programs in the area.
Logan community members are outraged at the impression this footage left on the nation.
“Once the media get a hold of it they like to focus on all the negative stuff and I know for a fact that there is so much good stuff happening here at the moment,” Mr Civinoceva said.
Some of those good things come in the form of a shared church service and a night patrol which has received positive feedback from both the indigenous and Polynesian community.
