World News Australia on October 2 2010 carried a report on plans by the former president of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf, to return to politics, which mistakenly said:
"He seized power in 1999, while the then Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was out of the country"
In fact, Mr Sharif attempted to dismiss Mr Musharraf as chief of the army while the latter was out of the country, prompting the army to depose Mr Sharif and instal Mr Musharraf in his place.
