SBS published a report on August 10, 2016 which related to a study into the use of the word “natural” on supermarket food and drink products.

The study was conducted by researchers for the Cancer Council of Victoria, who looked at 331 supermarket products with the word “natural” in the title to determine their nutritional value.

SBS’s story on the report included some images of the product NATVIA.

While the study concluded that almost half of the products reviewed were found to be high in saturated fat, sugar or salt, the study did not find that NATVIA contained any of these elements.
