The South Australian government has sent a team to the state's southeast after a bushfire destroyed two homes, but it is yet to commit financial aid to affected residents.
The blaze destroyed 12,100 hectares of scrub and farmland at Sherwood, about 220km southeast of Adelaide.
The homes along with sheds and livestock were lost before the fire was contained early on Sunday.
One CFS crew remained at the site on Monday afternoon, while the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources was carrying out thermal imaging to ensure all hot spots had been extinguished.
Agriculture Minister Leon Bignell said the government had also sent personnel to assist residents affected by the fire.
"I know there were a lot of livestock that were seriously injured and killed and we've had people from our government department out there helping put down a lot of those sheep," he told reporters on Monday.
He said it was too early to determine whether or not financial help would be provided.
"That will be worked out. I guess the first thing we need to do is get in and do the jobs that need to be done," he said.
Among those affected are Rick and Linda Moss, who rented one of the homes destroyed.
Mr Moss said a wind change sent the fire in their direction.
"We didn't have time to find the cat or anything, we just had to get out, it just came that quick," he told ABC radio.
A GoFundMe campaign has been started to help the Moss family and is seeking to raise $10,000.
Police are still investigating the cause of the blaze.
