Hillary Clinton is to write a new book about her life that includes her 2016 failed US presidential campaign.
The book of essays, to be published in the second half of this year, will be inspired by quotations she has collected from her decades in public life and will also include her reflections on the future.
"These are the words I live by," the former US secretary of state and first lady said in the publisher Simon & Schuster's statement.
"These quotes have helped me celebrate the good times, laugh at the absurd times, persevere during the hard times and deepen my appreciation of all life has to offer."
Clinton, who lost the November election to Donald Trump despite winning the popular vote, has written five previous books.
Following the vote she has largely refrained from making any public comments, though she did tweet her support for the women's marches which followed Trump's inauguration and for those who protested his order banning people from certain Muslim-majority countries from entering the US.
