Clippers pushed to overtime by 76ers

The LA Clippers have clawed their way back against the hapless Philadelphia 76ers to force overtime and then run away with a 98-92 NBA win.

The Los Angeles Clippers needed nearly the entire game on Monday night, but they eventually figured a way to eke out a 98-92 overtime win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Clippers win came thanks to 23 points each from JJ Redick and Jamal Crawford. Indeed, Redick managed to tie the game with a three-pointer in the waning seconds of regulation play.

But the victory only came after the Clippers climbed out of a 19-point hole - their largest this season - by holding the Sixers to just 33 points in the second half after Philadelphia led for most of the first.

It was the Clippers' 19th win in the last 23 games, making it 12 of 14 on the road.

"We showed grit and defensive intensity," Crawford said.

"We can win ugly games. At the end of the day it's about winning games and we're doing a good job at it."

Chris Paul netted 21 points while DeAndre Jordan finished with 12 and 21 rebounds for the Clippers (35-17), who fashioned their second gritty come-from-behind win in as many days after Sunday's 100-93 victory at Miami.

Elsewhere, Joe Johnson banked in the game-winning triple at the final buzzer to lift the Brooklyn Nets over the visiting Denver Nuggets 105-104.

In Cleveland, Kyrie Irving matched his season-high with 32 points to go with 12 assists and LeBron James had 21 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds for his 40th career triple-double in Cleveland's 120-100 win over Sacramento.

In Phoenix, Kevin Durant poured in 25 of his 32 points after intermission and Russell Westbrook added 29 in Oklahoma City's 122-106 defeat over Phoenix Suns.

Damian Lillard dropped in 35 points, CJ McCollum had six of his 21 in overtime, and the visiting Trail Blazers (26-27) won for the seventh time in eight games after taming the Grizzlies 112-106.

Mike Conley had 27 points and Zach Randolph added 26 for Memphis (30-22), who lost their second straight following a five-game success.

Kemba Walker scored 30 points, Frenchman Nicolas Batum had 19 with 13 rebounds, and the host Hornets (26-26) crushed the short-handed Bulls 108-91.

Indiana Pacers pipped the LA Lakers 89-87, the Toronto Raptors thrashed the Detroit Pistons 103-89, New Orleans overpowered Minnesota 116-102.

Nikola Vucevic exploded for 25 of his 28 points in the second half, including seven in overtime to go along with 13 rebounds, and the Orlando Magic (23-28) rallied from 20 down to clip the Atlanta Hawks 117-110.
