Coaching trio join Dockers in AFL

Premiership players David Hale, Brent Guerra and Anthony Rock will join Fremantle as assistant coaches.

Three AFL premiership players have joined Fremantle's coaching staff to work under Ross Lyon.

The Dockers announced on Friday that former Hawthorn players David Hale and Brent Guerra and ex-North Melbourne onballer Anthony Rock had joined the club.

They replace Simon Lloyd and Brett Kirk, who left Fremantle at the end of the season.

Hale retired after helping the Hawks win their third-straight flag earlier this month, while Guerra ended his playing career after his second premiership at Hawthorn in 2013.

Guerra was captain-coach at Chelsea this year in Victoria's Peninsula league.

Rock has been a coach at various levels for more than a decade after playing in North's 1996 premiership team.

Lloyd has joined Geelong as their coaching director and Kirk is now an assistant at Sydney.
