New poll figures out today show the Coalition appears to have extended its lead over Labor with just two weeks to go till election day.
The latest Fairfax-Nielsen poll shows Labor's primary vote has dropped two points in the past fortnight to 35.
But the coalition's primary vote has jumped a point to 47 per cent.
The coalition has a 53 to 47 lead on a two-party preferred basis.
The poll suggests the coalition is headed for a solid win next month.
