Collins Foods expands KFC count

KFC and Sizzler restaurant operator is expanding its fast food footprint with the acquisition of 13 more KFC outlets.

KFC and Sizzler restaurant operator Collins Foods will add 13 KFC restaurants to its portfolio of fast food outlets in a $25.5 million deal.

Collins has struck an agreement to buy the KFC outlets around the NSW and Victorian border, strengthening its national footprint and taking its store count to 191 outlets across four states and the Northern Territory.

The acquisition, announced on Thursday, will be paid for in cash plus $10 million in Collins Foods shares and is expected to be completed by mid-July.
