Colombia wrongly crowned Miss Universe

Miss Colombia has been wrongly named Miss Universe during the live telecast of the beauty pageant finale in Las Vegas.

Miss Colombia has accidentally been crowned Miss Universe 2015, when in fact the winner was Miss Philippines.

The big blunder was put down to human error, with host Steve Harvey taking responsibility for the mistake that clearly took everyone by surprise during the live telecast.

The scene was reminiscent of one of the most dramatic stuff-ups in the history of Australian live television, when Australia's Next Top Model host Sarah Murdoch announced the wrong winner of the reality show in 2010.

Earlier, Australian contestant Monika Radulovic was knocked out after making the final five.
