Gun control advocacy groups have purchased a two-page advertisement in The New York Times to list 100 US politicians who have accepted donations from the National Rifle Association.
The Associated Press reported the US$230,000 ad is set to run on Wednesday under the heading "these members of Congress take NRA money, but refuse to take action to pass gun safety legislation".
The ad - reportedly bought by Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America - includes a photo of schoolchildren leaving single-file from a school.
It features a quote from a survivor of the recent Parkland high school mass shooting in Florida: "we're children. You guys are the adults... get something done".
Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America founder Shannon Watts told The Associated Press that politicians who don't take action to stop gun violence are "complicit in the deaths of our children".
Many of the students who survived the Florida shooting have vowed to make the tragedy a turning point in America's deadlocked debate on gun control.
Faced with an outpouring of grief and anger over the shooting, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday indicated his support behind moves to ban "bump stocks" - an accessory that can turn a semi-automatic weapon into an automatic one.
A new Quinnipiac University poll has shown that Americans support stricter gun laws by a 66 percent to 31 percent margin.
It described the margin as "the highest level of support" for stricter gun control since it began surveys on the question in 2008.
