Conchita's impromptu newsroom duet

Accompanied by a piano accordian, Eurovision's "bearded lady" Conchita Wurst has dropped in on staff at The Advertiser in Adelaide.

Eurovision's "bearded lady" Conchita Wurst has proved she's just as much an improv queen as a drag queen when she dropped in on staff at The Advertiser in Adelaide.

Conchita entertained on Thursday with a brief but rousing version of her Eurovision-winning song Rise Like a Phoenix accompanied, probably for the first time in her career, by a piano accordian.

The man providing the backing was The Advertiser's resident entertainment writer Matt Gilbertson who admitted to missing a few notes.

But he said Conchita was gracious in agreeing to the duet.

The Austrian star is in Adelaide for her debut Australian performance on Sunday at the Feast Festival, SA's annual homage to gay and lesbian rights.
