Conflict in Burma intensifies

In Burma, the fight for autonomy between government troops and Kachin rebels is intensifying, leaving tens of thousands of people displaced.

UN estimates up to 55,000 people have been internally displaced by the fighting and are in urgent need of aid.

But due to the worsening security situation the UN has been unable to deliver any supplies since the end of last month.
